One of the things that can interfere with your sleep is food. There are several types of foods or
certain snacks that can interfere with your sleep patterns. Dark chocolate is one of the foods that go
into that category.

We often eat dark chocolate as a late night snack because dark chocolate has lower calories and
sugar compared to other types of chocolate. However, you should also know that most of dark
chocolate contains around 25-38% of caffeine. This amount of caffeine is equivalent to a cup of
coffee around 200 ml. The darker the color of dark chocolate that you consume, the greater the
caffeine content.

With enough caffeine on your body after consume dark chocolate, you will experience difficulty to
sleep at night. The best solution to maintain your sleep pattern is to consume dark chocolate that
has caffeine content below 10% or stop consuming dark chocolate before bed and consume other
foods that do not contain caffeine at all.
